We are in the icebox today with frigid temps expected. 8 trails of fast and firm surfaces are open to carve up; be sure your edges are tuned and ready to run. Just an inch or two of snow over ice and dirt.&nbsp;&nbsp;Not ready for skis or snowshoes yet.. Small patches of ice, easy to navigate.<br><strong>Nichols Creek Trails<\/strong>:&nbsp; &nbsp;<br>&nbsp; Upper Nichols is snow\/ice&nbsp;packed, the cutoff trail has batches of snow and ice. &nbsp;First part of the trail from the bottom has been very muddy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Palisades Trail:<\/strong><br>&nbsp; This is a multi use trail, so expect Mountain Bikes, Horses, hikers, runners&nbsp; &nbsp; Icy spots, and very muddy areas.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Closed to dogs as of Dec 1 for Moose habitat.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lake Fork Trail<\/strong>:<br>&#8211; not enough to ski yet, about half inch of new snow.&nbsp; &nbsp;Lots of rocks!&nbsp; &nbsp;Road is snow covered, trail is icy and hard packed underneath.&nbsp;&nbsp; Trail above the wilderness boundary sign starts having better snowpack. Skiable only if you are agile to dodge the rocks!&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Glacier Lake Road:<\/strong><br>Glacier Lake Road is closed at the Junction with Hellroaring road as of&nbsp;Dec 1. Not much snow on the road before MK campground, but better snow up higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Highway 212<\/strong>:&nbsp;<br>Gate is closed above Parkside campground.&nbsp; Road is walkable, as there are large bare pavement areas and then deep snowdrifts.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>East Rosebud:<\/strong><br>&nbsp;Be aware, this road is not plowed in the winter..&nbsp; Lots of road repairs in progress &#8211; new roadbed in lots of places, so be aware, especially if there is new snow. &nbsp; Trail to Elk Lake is ice about 1.5 miles up &#8211; take your ice spikes. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mystic Lake\/ West Rosebud:<\/strong><br>Trail is in good shape to Mystic. &nbsp;Take your ice spikes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maurice<\/strong><strong>Creek<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;<br>Lower mile or so is light snow and bits of ice &#8211; then trail is ice packed. &nbsp;Upper level, above 7500ft, becomes deep enough to posthole without snowshoes. &nbsp;Similar conditions on Corral Creek.&nbsp;&nbsp;\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Beartooth Ranger District<\/strong>::&nbsp;
