2024 BCHMT Rendezvous

BCHMT Rendezvous 6/21-6/23/2024 at the Blackfoot Clearwater Game Range will be hosted by the Missoula Chapter.
Directions: on highway west of Ovando, before Russell Gates boat take out. Turn off highway to lake Upsata. Signs will be on the highway. Once on this dirt road, take the first left Go to the area around the large metal barn. Horse trailers will be there.
- Each individual is responsible for their own FWP conservation license before they come. This license is included in fishing and hunting licenses. If you don’t have one of these then you will need a conservation license.
- Wade Murphy will be offering a “training for the trail” class on Saturday from 1-4 pm. This is open to the first 8 people to sign up. Contact Wade at to sign up. This is open to both mules and horses.

Facilities:
- Hay shelter to be out of possible rain.
- Cottonwood creek is close by to water animals.
- Large meadows for grazing stock.
- Weed Seed Free Feed is mandatory.
- 4 small corrals
- No trees. You will have to high line between horse trailers.
- There will be 6 spaced out outhouses and two wash stations.
Rides: two flagged rides
- North across meadow into trees and the loop back.
- Southwest flagged trail over a mountain, looped back.
Food:
Saturday evening barbecue provided by Mike and Trish Foster. Please RSVP to Trish Foster with a text message to 406-546-8943 if you’re going to have the barbecue dinner on the evening of Saturday, June 21 at 6:00PM so she knows how much food to order. The cost of the meal is $10 per person
Entertainment:
Jack Rich, outfitter, will be doing a presentation on History of the game range. Hopefully he will also do some cowboy poetry.
Camp fire:
There will be a campfire on Saturday Evening.
