Meadow Creek Work Project

May 22 - May 26

Memorial Day Weekend Project

Camp Kitchen

Please bring drinking water!  There is no potable water at the Meadow Creek campground.  Please bring five gallons of water (with your name on the container) and leave it at the camp kitchen upon arrival.  Thanks to the efforts of member volunteers last year, we now have stock water available.

Bring your own chairs; eating utensils, cups and plates will be supplied by BCHF or you may bring your own.  There will be a cook tent/trailer set up with gas stoves.

If you plan to eat breakfast with the group, each family is asked to bring a pound of sliced bacon and a pound of link sausage.  Please turn the meat into the camp kitchen upon arrival.  (A little extra helps as we often have Forest Service staff as guests.)

The Camp Cook and Helpers cook breakfast on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.  We serve the bacon and sausage you bring, and BCHF provides pancakes, syrup, coffee and juice.  If you prefer to eat eggs, you may bring them to cook yourself and we will provide the skillet.

There will be a cleanup area set up for you near the kitchen and everyone is responsible for washing, drying and storing personal dishes.

FOOD: Friday evening dinner is on your own as most people arrive in camp at different times.

Breakfast is served from approximately 7:00 to 9:00am Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings.  Coffee and hot water will be ready by 6:00 or 6:30 AM for the early risers.

Dinners will be served starting at 6:30pm.  Saturday and Sunday evening we will have potluck suppers.  Each family should bring a generous main dish plus a salad or dessert to share for both meals.

Lunches are on your own.

The coffee pot (decaf and regular) will be on during the day.

Any personal items left in the kitchen/dining area will be taken to our next meeting for distribution to their owners.

NO SMOKING OR UNLEASHED DOGS ALLOWED IN THE KITCHEN AREA.
