SUMMARY:Meadow Creek Work Project
DESCRIPTION:Memorial Day Weekend Project \nCamp Kitchen \nPlease bring drinking water!  There is no potable water at the Meadow Creek campground.  Please bring five gallons of water (with your name on the container) and leave it at the camp kitchen upon arrival.  Thanks to the efforts of member volunteers last year\, we now have stock water available. \nBring your own chairs; eating utensils\, cups and plates will be supplied by BCHF or you may bring your own.  There will be a cook tent/trailer set up with gas stoves. \nIf you plan to eat breakfast with the group\, each family is asked to bring a pound of sliced bacon and a pound of link sausage.  Please turn the meat into the camp kitchen upon arrival.  (A little extra helps as we often have Forest Service staff as guests.) \nThe Camp Cook and Helpers cook breakfast on Saturday\, Sunday\, and Monday.  We serve the bacon and sausage you bring\, and BCHF provides pancakes\, syrup\, coffee and juice.  If you prefer to eat eggs\, you may bring them to cook yourself and we will provide the skillet. \nThere will be a cleanup area set up for you near the kitchen and everyone is responsible for washing\, drying and storing personal dishes. \nFOOD: Friday evening dinner is on your own as most people arrive in camp at different times. \nBreakfast is served from approximately 7:00 to 9:00am Saturday\, Sunday and Monday mornings.  Coffee and hot water will be ready by 6:00 or 6:30 AM for the early risers. \nDinners will be served starting at 6:30pm.  Saturday and Sunday evening we will have potluck suppers.  Each family should bring a generous main dish plus a salad or dessert to share for both meals. \nLunches are on your own. \nThe coffee pot (decaf and regular) will be on during the day. \nAny personal items left in the kitchen/dining area will be taken to our next meeting for distribution to their owners. \n  \nNO SMOKING OR UNLEASHED DOGS ALLOWED IN THE KITCHEN AREA. \n  \nFor information\, please contact Jim Thramer at 406-471-8391 or Bart Healy 406-314-5016. \n  \nMeadow Creek Trailhead \nclick here for driving directions \n

SUMMARY:Forestry Expo work party
DESCRIPTION:Hello All – Please come out this Friday\, May 1st – 9:00 AM to the Forestry Expo site\, ready to clean up and get the site ready for next week!  We will gather near the lunch area.  Many hands make light work (and should keep it to a ½ day for clean up)  Wear your work clothes and if you have any of the following tools\, bring them along: \n\nGarbage Bags \nChain saw \nBrush saw – cleaning around kiosks/porta potty locations. \nLoppers/hand saws \nLadders – to hang the tarps \nBrooms for sweeping off tables and benches \nRake \nHammer \nCordless drill/screwdriver – hoping to replace some of the posters along the trail (behind plexiglass) \n\nNOTE –  It sounds like MT Wild Wings will not be bringing live birds out this year\, so no need to put a tarp over the bird area at the Wildlife station.
