Hello all,
The deadline for registration is Sunday, March 1st. After that date, the registration will increase from $150 to $165. If you are planning on coming to any of the speakers, listen to the state business or participate in the saw contest, you need to register. There will be some money available for reimbursement…delegates will get their registration reimbursed. There might be some money for other attenders to get some reimbursement. It is a great experience and if you travel other years to conventions, you will get to see how chapters function across the state. If you want to help and perhaps attend the banquet, you can buy a banquet ticket for $50.
We do have a fourth break out speaker secured, Dr. Kate Bennet, DMV will be talking about hay testing, reading a hay test and horse nutrition/supplements.
Please continue to ask folks about silent auction items. If you secure one, please send me a note or text ( or 406-599-0255) so I can keep an current list of those items. You can bring the item to the March meeting. We need about 10 – 15 more to have a nice silent auction. Be thinking about what our club might offer as a Live auction, something worth at least $100. As the host chapter, we can put 3 items in the auction. We might want to think about having one of our items go toward the Youth program. The state gets the money from the live auction. We get the money from the raffle, and the silent auction. Also, if you run across any businesses that might be interested in offering a coupon, we will have space in the folder or on the table to have some coupons available.
I’ll send out another blast before our March meeting of a schedule of times when we need help at registration, photo booth, saw contest, auction help and general set-up or tear-down.
