Saddle
- The type of saddle and its accessories depend on individual
choice. Remember, though, that the saddle should be comfortable
for the horse as well as the rider.
Stirrups
- Should be adjusted so that your knees are slightly
bent, but you can
still see the tip of your boots while sitting in the saddle.
You should also be able to stand in the stirrups and just clear
the saddle seat.
Reins
- Should be longer rather than shorter, and heavy enough for
the job.
Bits
- Bit selection requires some degree of experience and knowledge
of bit types and functions.
