Those who have signed up for a project should receive updates from the Project Leader. Be sure to include your email address on the sign-up sheet. 

In all cases, if you have tools, feel free to bring them!


AD HOC PROJECTS
In addition to regularly scheduled projects there are some Ad Hoc projects that the USFS requests assistance on. Ad Hoc Project eligibility guidelines:
  1. Minimum of 2 BRBCH members to do a project (this applies to Ad-Hoc Projects).
  2. No one rides or hikes alone.
  3. 4 people or fewer must all come back to the trailhead if one or 2 folks need to leave for the day.
  4. To be eligible for the Mileage Reimbursement, the project must be on the listed FS list, and the Project Committee (PC) must approve the project.
  5. 1 member must be a Certified sawyer (Chainsaw or Crosscut, depending on what is needed), 2 members must be First Aid Certified, and anyone within 15 feet of stock must have the Defensive Horsemen class.
  6. BRBCH members must email the Project Committee with the date, start time, and location of the project so the PC can notify the appropriate District Rangers.
  7. The saw First Aid Kit must go on the project if chainsaws are being used.
  8. A communication device, such as Garmin, Spot, etc., must be taken and used. Must have an outside Point of Contact.
  9. Safety Talk must take place before the project starts.
  10. Complete the Project Report once the project is completed, and email it to . Please text pictures to Christy at 406-360-5947.
  11. When taking pictures, please keep in mind that the proper PPE must be worn. Do not post any pictures on social media.
