The newsletters are in pdf format. Click on the newsletter month you’d like to open. Please allow a minute or two for the newsletter to download to accommodate for the fantastic graphics and photos in each issue.

NEWSLETTER SUBMISSIONS (Please read!)
Our newsletter is only as good as its content, so we ask that all members consider submitting articles. Had a good ride lately? A trail you covered or a good pack trip? How about a work project or an experience that just has to be shared? Fun, serious, informative … these types of articles make the newsletter interesting. The submissions don’t have to be long, so write something up and send it in! Photos are always appreciated, too.
The deadline for submitting newsletter submissions is usually the Wednesday after the monthly board meeting, which occurs the 1st Thursday of the month. All submissions should be sent to Dan Maiyo, Newsletter Editor, at .
NEWSLETTER: NOW ONLINE! HELP US REDUCE COSTS BY CHOOSING ONLINE!
Our newsletter (as you can see from above!) is now available online. All members automatically receive our chapter’s monthly newsletter and the State BCH quarterly newsletter (the Decker Dispatch) online; an email is sent containing a link to this page, just as soon as the newsletter has been finalized. The online version provides a full color version and the size can be adjusted to make it easier to read.
Our national organization, BCHA, handles distribution of its newsletter, which is now referred to as an eBlast. This is sent to all current members. If you are not receiving these emails, let our chapter’s Membership Chair know.
NOT GETTING YOUR NEWSLETTER?
If you are experiencing problems receiving your newsletter — either online or through the mail, contact the Membership Chair. She’ll confirm your membership is current and work with you on getting this straightened out.
NEWSLETTER ADS
WANTED/FOR SALE NOTICES/LOST & FOUND: If you have a personal item that you are looking for or would like to sell, members may do so at no charge. These appear on a one-time basis. This is not for retail or business purposes. Submit monthly if you need it to run longer. Send wording to Dan Maiyo, Newsletter Editor, at .
MEMBER BUSINESS CARD ADVERTISING: We’re not out to accomplish complete advertising, just to help offset the expense of the newsletter while giving our members an opportunity to be in the spotlight and get their name and business out there. Cost is $5/month for a business-card size ad. Send payment and your business card to the Treasurer.
NON-MEMBER BUSINESS CARD ADVERTISING: We’re thankful to those businesses who wish to advertise in our newsletter and ask that our members thank each of them for doing so when in their store. Cost is based on ad size. Ed Bullock is the chapter’s contact to set this up: 907-575-7878,
